Hey All!
It’s been a great eight weeks with everyone. I’ve enjoyed reading the blogs I’ve been following.
When I decided to register for Social Media I was doing so to better my real life brand. See, I am an entrepreneur. I’ve always desired owning my own business. A few years ago I worked a full time job putting in my 40 hours a week, going to school full time, running 2 small businesses simultaneously. One for 8 years the other for 14 years. Then a few years ago I decided to break away and pursue self employment full time. Fast forward to Fall 2021 I am still a full time student building 2 very different brands. This course has drawn my attention to different areas I didn’t think were necessary. For example, I’ve had LinkedIn for some time, but never took the time and effort to build and populate my personal profile let alone my brand’s profiles. I’ve never given much thought to blogging, but as you read this, I have. I’ve never thought I could put myself out there to do a YouTube channel, but now I am HEAVILY considering it.
I would definitely like to learn more about video rich content. This is definitely something I would want to dive deep into and may consider doing this on my own. I would also like to explore integrating that content back into social media.
I will continue to use Facebook for my current brands. But, I will be expanding my horizon as well. My personal profile on LinkedIn will get a good polishing as well as full descriptive company pages for my brand. Since I have utilized Facebook for some time, Instagram will be a new avenue since it integrates fairly easily with Facebook. One of the biggest undertakings I am seriously considering is YouTube. I’ve done a fair amount of work for other brands which are not my own on this platform. Funny thing is until this class I have never considered YouTube for my real life brands. It makes perfect since to me now considering I am a visual person. I like to see and watch things over reading them. Honestly, I probably use YouTube just as much as I do a search engine. Only time will tell.

There is always so much to learn. As Ralph Waldo Emerson once said “The mind, once stretched by a new idea, never returns to its original dimensions.” And with that I leave you.
Best of luck in all your future endeavors,
Callan
